A couple of new eating establishments look to be on the way to Vandalia.
At Monday’s Vandalia City Council meeting, representatives from Domino’s Pizza were on hand for the meeting as they were requesting TIF funding. The new Domino’s would be located between Los Amigo’s and O’Reilly’s on Veteran’s Avenue in Vandalia. And, the facility will be built with a second restaurant to be located next to it at some point. Alderman Russ Stunkel asks Franchise Owner Mark Rattermann about that second restaurant and he also talks about their drive thru facilities.
Audio PlayerBy a vote of 7 to 1, with Alderman Mike Hobler voting No, the City Council approved TIF funds of $62,500–which is 25% of the total cost of the project and a 100% 5-year property tax abatement of the amount paid into the TIF property tax.
Meanwhile, recently on their social media, Daylight Donuts announced they are bringing a location to Vandalia. They stated they will be at 1611 Veteran’s Avenue Suite E and they are hoping to open very soon.
