Illinois voters are being asked three statewide advisory questions in Tuesday’s election.
In May, Democratic State Representative Jay Hoffman laid out the three referendum questions Illinois voters are being asked to vote on.
Audio PlayerRepublicans voted present and walked off the House floor in protest after Democrats approved the questions. State Representative Ryan Spain said there are many other important questions to ask voters that should be binding.
Audio PlayerAs of Friday morning, more than 1.8 million of the state’s 8 million registered voters had already voted early. Polls open statewide Tuesday at 6 am.
