The IHSA on Thursday released the pairings for the 2024 soccer postseason one day after releasing seeds on Wednesday, October 2. Both I70Sports area teams, Altamont and Vandalia, will compete in Class 1A and are assigned to the North Mac Sectional complex. Altamont earned a #5 seed and Vandalia earned a #10 seed in Sub-Sectional B. Altamont will host one regional in the sectional complex and will open up postseason play on Tuesday, October 15 at 4:00pm Altamont Grade School against #11 seed Robinson. The winner of that quarterfinal game will take on #2 seed Teutopolis in the first quarterfinal game on Saturday, October 19 at 10:00am. The Regional Championship game for the Altamont Regional will be played on Tuesday, October 22 at 4:00pm. Vandalia as a #10 seed will be on the road for their quarterfinal matchup as they will take on Pana with that match date and time still to be determined. The winner of that quarterfinal will advance to the semifinals to face #1 seed Hillsboro on Saturday, October 19 at 12:00pm at Hillsboro. The Hillsboro Regional Championship game will be played on Tuesday, October 22 at 5:00pm.
