NWS says EF-1 Tornado near Vernon on Sunday evening

From the National Weather Service in St. Louis—

Around 5:21 pm on 4/7/2024 , a brief tornado destroyed a farm outbuilding, lofting debris into surrounding trees and powerlines. The tornado was rated EF-1 with a maximum estimated wind speed of 90 mph.
