The Vandalia City Council acted on two issues following an executive session at their meeting on Monday night.
The City of Vandalia has agreed to sell 3.5 acres of the city’s 120 acre tract of land at the west interchange area. The land will be purchased by Tucker Willms of Arrow Valley Landscaping. And, Willms will relocate his business to the new property. Willms talks about his business.
Willms told the City Council he will move his business from Brownstown to Vandalia and build a machine shed and office building on the new property. The purchase price in the ordinance says it is $10,000 per acre.
Also at Monday’s meeting after their executive session, the Vandalia City Council will be able to get a piece of downtown property fixed up by an area developer. City Attorney Ryan Connor explains the arrangement.
Meanwhile, the City Council acted on some more liquor and gaming licenses at Monday’s meeting and we will discuss that coming up tomorrow.
