The South Central Lady Cougars went 1-1 at the Carlyle Round Robin on Saturday, falling host Carlyle in their first game, 4-0, before beating Odin-Patoka-Sandoval, 18-4, in their second game.
In their first game, South Central was held to just four hits in the shutout loss, with Zoey Feldhake accounting for two of the hits with Kyra Swift and Kinlee Thompson each with singles in the 4-0 loss. In their second game, the Lady Cougars put up four runs in the top of the first inning before adding three in the second, two runs in both the third and fourth innings and put the game out of reach with a 7-run top of the fifth inning. Kaitlyn Swift had a 4-hit game for South Central while Kyra Swift and Lauren Johnson each had 3-hit games. Johnson and Brianna Buchanan each had 4 RBI and Taegan Webster had 3 RBI in the win. With the 1-1 day, South Central moves to 7-4 on the season and will only have one day off before being in action again on Monday, as they will be at Windsor/Stew-Stras for a National Trail Conference matchup.
