The Vandals will open play tonight in the Benton Invitational Tournament.
It is a new format this year at the BIT, as the tournament now has 8 teams with the addition of Herrin and Carterville and is now a bracketed tournament. The Vandals open up play tonight as they will take on the Pinckneyville Panthers. The Panthers are under the guidance of first-year head coach–South Central High School grad Matt Laur. They come into tonight’s game at 14-5 on the season. The Vandals come into the game at 8-10 on the season. Game time is set for 6 pm.
