Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City boys basketball used big second and third quarters to pull away and cruise to a 62-27 win over Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville on Saturday afternoon. After holding just a 15-11 lead at the end of the first, the Bobcats began to pull away in the second quarter, outscoring OPH 17-3 in the period for a 32-14 halftime lead. After a 19-7 run through the third quarter by CHBC blew open the game for a 51-21 lead at the end of the third, the Bobcats outscored OPH 11-6 in the fourth quarter to close out the 62-27 win. CHBC is now 8-10 on the season and will go on the road Tuesday for their next matchup at Shelbyville.
