St. Elmo-Brownstown finally got their Egyptian Illini Conference schedule underway on Friday night and came away with a 63-52 win over Patoka-Odin at Odin High School. The Eagles held just a three point lead, 15-12, at the end of the first quarter and outscored the Warriors by just a point in the second quarter, 16-15, to go ahead 31-27 at halftime. SEB was able to slightly edge their lead out in the third quarter with a 14-11 run in the quarter for a 45-38 lead to start the fourth quarter. An 18-14 outscoring of Patoka-Odin in the quarter would allow the Eagles to close out the 63-52 win. SEB moves to 15-3 on the season and starts EIC play at 1-0. They will have two more EIC contests coming up next week as they travel to Martinsville on Tuesday and host Mulberry Grove on Friday.
