The Vandalia School Board on Monday night approved for current Vandalia High School Assistant Principal Greta Krueger to succeed current VCHS Principal Randy Protz upon his retirement following the 2025-2026 school year. With originally being from Vandalia and then going away for a while before coming back to Vandalia to teach and then move into administration where she has worked with Protz for several years, Krueger says she has really come full circle.
Being one of several Vandalia School District administrators who went to school here and then returned to teach here and then become an administrator, Krueger feels she has a great story to tell students about herself and others being able to come back home and give back to the community through education.
During her time as assistant principal working closely with Principal Protz, the VCHS administration has been able to implement many new things and have worked through so much the last handful of years. And we will talk with Krueger more about that tomorrow on Newscenter.
