Top-seeded CHBC and #2 seed Brownstown-St. Elmo won out, each by way of the run rule, on the second night of the Egyptian Illini Conference baseball tournament on Tuesday. CHBC used a 14-run second inning to get a 21-6 win over Ramsey in four innings. CHBC is now 9-4 on the season and 2-0 in the EIC Tournament. Ramsey drops to 0-11 on the season and 0-2 in the tournament.
BSE scored in every inning, including a 6-run second inning on the way to a 15-5 win over Mulberry Grove in six innings. BSE moves to 6-11 overall and they are 2-0 in the tournament. Mulberry Grove moves to 3-9 on the season and 0-2 in the tournament.
CHBC and BSE are now set to meet in the Championship Game of the EI Tournament on Thursday at 7:00pm at Greenville University. Mulberry Grove and Ramsey will meet at 4:15pm, also at Greenville University, in the 3rd place game.
