Vandalia volleyball went 1-3 and took 7th place in their own Vandal Tournament on Saturday. The Lady Vandals fell to South Central in two sets 20-25, 24-26 in their pool play opener before falling to Salem 20-25, 23-25 and to East Alton-Wood River 13-25, 17-25 to finish up pool play at 0-3. In the place round, the Lady Vandals came up against New Athens and picked up their only win of the day 25-19, 25-11. Vandalia is now 5-13-1 on the season and will have just on day off before getting right back into action on Monday at Ramsey. The two teams met just a week ago at the Montgomery County Invitational with Vandalia winning that tournament match in two sets 25-20, 25-22.
