Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City volleyball went 1-3 on the day to finish in 6th place at the 29th annual Vandalia Volleyball Tournament on Saturday. CHBC fell to Hillsboro 16-25, 18-25 to open up pool play and lost in two sets 18-25, 11-25 to eventual tournament champion Carlyle to start the day at 0-2. They would bounce back with a 25-16, 25-21 win against New Athens to get themselves into the 5th/6th Place Match against Salem. In the battle of the cat mascots, the Lady Bobcats fell to the Lady Wildcats in two sets 16-25, 22-25 to end their day in 6th place. CHBC is now 5-8 on the season and will host Altamont on Tuesday in National Trail Conference action.
