Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City got probably its most meaningful win so far this season when the Bobcats shutout South Central, 10-0, on Tuesday and handing the previously undefeated Cougars their first loss of the fall season. After a scoreless first two innings, the Bobcats got their offense going in the bottom of the third inning with four runs for a 4-0 lead. After a scoreless fourth inning, CHBC would have another big inning with 5 more runs coming across the plate to extend their lead out to 9-0. After holding South Central scoreless for five innings, the Bobcats again held the Cougars at bay in the top of the 6th inning, before putting their final run across in the bottom of the 6th inning to close out the 10-0 win. CHBC improves to 4-2 on the season and 2-2 in the NTC while South Central is now 8-1 on the season and 2-1 in the NTC.
