Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City baseball opened up the season with a big win on Thursday, beating Odin-Patoka 17-0 in a 5-inning game at home. The Bobcats got their offense going early dropping 12 runs in the bottom of the first inning and tacking on one each in the second and fourth innings for the 14-0 win. Four CHBC pitchers combined for the one-hit shutout with Clayton Wojcik picking up the win. CHBC is now 1-0 and will be back at home on Tuesday to host Dieterich.
