Debra R. Taylor, 59, of Brownstown, IL, passed away at 7:03 PM, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 02, 2023 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with John Baldock officiating. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM, Tuesday, August 01, 2023 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Debra Renae Taylor was born on November 05, 1963 in Chester, IL, the daughter of Larry Dean Baldock and Norma Lou (Turner) Walker. She married Randy Dean Taylor on February 18, 1998; together they celebrated 25 years of marriage.
Debbie was employed by Brockway for 31 years where she worked in the purchasing department. She was currently employed by Lake Land College as an office assistant working at the Vandalia Correctional Center. Deb was a member of Women of the Moose, Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447; Illinois Federation for Outdoor Resources (IFOR); and the Vandalia – United States Bowling Congress -Women’s Bowling Association.
Debbie was very outspoken and down to earth. She had an avid love for bowling; in which she bowled on a league for over 30 years. With this came many close friends, tournaments, and fun times. Debbie also enjoyed hunting and fishing; where she would host fish fries for family and friends. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her family; loving every gathering and cheering on the grandkids at their games.
She will be forever remembered by her husband, Randy Taylor of Brownstown; father, Larry Baldock of Vandalia; mother, Norma Walker of Vandalia; son, Brady Deutsch & Taylor Harris of Vandalia; step-son, Toby Taylor & wife Audra of Greenup; brothers, Bruce Riley of Brownstown and John Baldock & wife Tara of Highland; sister, Cathy & husband Kevin Kern of Vandalia; mother-in-law, Joyce Taylor of Vandalia; brother-in-law, Lester Taylor & wife Jocelyn of Vandalia; granddaughters, Gracie Taylor and Eliana Taylor of Greenup; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, & friends.
