There will be multiple Memorial Day programs and ceremonies in Fayette County on Monday.
Both Ramsey and Brownstown will have programs.
The Ramsey American Legion will have their traditional Memorial Day ceremony at 10 am Monday in Ramsey Cemetery. Their speaker will be Vietnam Veteran Kent Denton. About 200 American Flags will guide you through Ramsey on to the cemeteries on Monday.
The Brownstown VFW will hold their annual Memorial Day service on Monday at 10 am. It will be held at the Memorial Wall at Brownstown Park.
The 21st Annual Walk Across America to show support to our troops and first responders will be held on Memorial Day at 1 pm. They will meet at the Vandalia Statehouse for the walk. For more information you may contact Donna Hale at 618-292-9359.
