Altamont baseball went 1-1 on Saturday as they wrapped up play in the Tiger Showcase in Beardstown. In their opening game of the day, the Indians got a 5-1 win over host Beardstown. Altamont was able to take a 5-0 lead through the first six innings before giving up the lone run to Beardstown on the way to the win. In their second game of the day, Altamont would fall to Quincy Notre Dame 10-5. The Indians were held scoreless through the first four innings before putting up a run in the fifth inning and two each in the sixth and seventh but it was not enough as Altamont could not come back. The Indians are now 8-5 on the season and will be back at home on Monday to take on Windsor/Stew-Stras.
