(Springfield, IL) — Illinois’ governor says he may look at tax cuts. Governor JB Pritzker on Friday said Illinois is seeing higher than expected numbers from sales taxes and income taxes, and the state could be looking at a surplus. If not tax cuts, the governor said Illinois could also add the money to the state’s rainy day fund, or pay down some of the state’s pension debt.
