The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City girls basketball season came to a close on Friday night with a 60-36 loss to Neoga in the championship game of the Neoga 1A Regional. The Bobcats had trouble scoring early and fell into a 17-1 hole before a small 4-1 run to end the first quarter would have them down 18-5 at the end of the quarter. The second quarter looked very much like the first as nearly everything that Neoga threw up would fall in while CHBC struggled to get their shooting touch down and would find themselves trailing 35-14 at halftime. Despite the Bobcats holding close with the Indians in the second half, they would be outscored 25-22 in the half to fall 60-36. CHBC ends their season at 21-11.
