City of Vandalia’s Sales Tax Revenues holding steady in FY ’23, look at some other tax revenues

The City of Vandalia’s Sales Tax Revenues are holding steady in numbers so far for fiscal year 2023.

For the 8 months received so far in general sales tax revenues during fiscal year 2023, the City of Vandalia is even with the numbers they received at this time last year in FY ’22.  Fiscal year 2022 saw the City of Vandalia with general sales tax revenues of $2,181,700—which  was a new all time high and the first time the City of Vandalia had topped 2 million dollars in general sales tax revenues.

As for some other taxes, the City of Vandalia has $197,028 in gaming revenues through the first 8 months of FY ’23.  Last year, the City of Vandalia had $288,726 in gaming revenues–which was also an all time high.  In Hotel/Motel Tax, The city is up compared to last year in the first 8 months that have been reported for FY ’23.  Last year, the City of Vandalia had Hotel/Motel Tax collections of $112,519, which was their highest ever and the first time topping $100,000 since FY ’17.
