The Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant will take place at the IAAF Convention held Jan. 19-22 at Crowne Plaza in Springfield. Kramer will compete along with 72 other contestants from throughout the state. Anna is the 19-year-old daughter of Scott & Heather Kramer of Farina. Instructions will be given for the weekend during the official roll call on Thursday at 1 p.m. Friday will be the interview day. Each contestant will have a personal interview with the five judges. This is a big part of the competition, because the title of Miss Illinois County Fair is a job. The new queen will be an employee of the state of Illinois for the year. She will be the hostess of both state fairs and travel throughout the entire state to other county fairs, and she will speak to the Illinois House of Representatives and Senate. The preliminary competition is held on Saturday. Each contestant will compete in stage presence, beauty and physique, and speech and communication skills. Kramer will be competing in the evening group, which begins at 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Finals will be held on Sunday, Jan. 22. The evening will begin with a banquet and the production number, followed by introductions of all 73 contestants. The top 15 finalist will be announced. This is reserved seating only. The top 15 finalist slate will be wiped clean, and then compete in all phases of competition and answer three on-stage interview questions. Miss Illinois County Fair Queen 2023 will be crowned following this competition. A reception will follow coronation.
