The Vandalia City Council approved some purchases at their Monday meeting.
The Vandalia City Council approved the purchases of a 75HP VFD Pump at the Randolph Pump Station. The purchase was from C and C Pumps & Supply in Marion at a cost of $7,457.50.
The City Council approved the purchase of a new HVAC Unit for the Council Chambers area of Vandalia City Hall. The cost of the unit is $10,370 from Culbertson Heating and Cooling in Vandalia.
And, the City Council also approved the purchase of a new squad car for the Vandalia Police Department. The vehicle is a 2023 Dodge Charger Pursuit RWD at a cost of $36,394 from Hosick Motors in Vandalia.
Also, the City Clerk will be seeing some training on their computer system. Clerk Carla Huhn says they will shut down the server for the upgrades and they will be undergoing training on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Also, Huhn wanted to inform the public they will be closed for lunch from 12 pm to 1:15 pm on Wednesday and Thursday of this week, as part of the training process.
