
Denzel “Denny” K. Boley, 81, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at SBL Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia, IL.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 13, 2023, at Vandalia Moose Lodge, Vandalia, IL, with Pastor Robert Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Vandalia Moose Lodge, Vandalia, IL. Masonic rites will be held at 10:45 AM on Friday, prior to the service. He was born May 1, 1941, in Richland County, IL, the son of Gene Wiggle & Edith Pearl (Pool) Boley. Married Jane Runge on June 7, 1958, St. Peter, IL. He worked as an IL Liquor Control Agent; member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church; Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447, Governor and Past President; Vandalia Fire Department; Old National Trail Shrine Club; Shriners Tin Lizzy Patrol; Temperance Lodge #16, A.F.A.M., all of Vandalia, IL and Warrior Nation Cancer Foundation, Patoka & Vernon, Board member and Trustee.
He is survived by: Wife – Jane Boley, Vandalia, IL; Son – Michael Boley, Vandalia, IL; Daughter – Shelley Boley, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren – Haley Tompkins & Jacob and Brendan Boley & Anna, all of Vandalia, IL; Brother – Brad Boley & Debbie, Vandalia, IL; Sister-in-law – Linda Morton, St. Peter, IL; Niece – Tammy Leidner, Knoxville, TN; Nephews – Ben and Brandon Morris, FL and Phillip Morton, Mt. Vernon, IL; Great Nephews – Jason Dunaway and Matthew Leidner.
