The Altamont Indians have pushed their current win streak to eight games after dispatching Woodlawn, 65-23, at home on Saturday night. The Indians showed their dominance early, outscoring the Cardinals 20-4 in the first quarter and then holding Woodlawn to just a single basket and adding an additional 25 points of their own for a 45-6 halftime lead. Altamont’s scoring would slow in the second half as they would only outscore Woodlawn 20-17 over the final two quarters, but their first half performance would be more than enough to carry them to the 65-23 win. After their eighth win in a row, the Indians have now pushed their season record to 13-3 overall. They will have another non-conference game coming up on Tuesday when they travel to Central A&M before coming home and getting back into National Trail Conference play on Friday against North Clay.
