Michael R. Alsbury, 75, of Vandalia, passed away on December 29, 2022, at Aperion Care in St. Elmo, IL
Per Michael’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Crown Point Church, 966 N Carlyle Road, Vandalia, IL. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com
Michael Roy Alsbury was born October 18, 1947 in Shafter, IL, the son of Richard and Dorothy (Hampton) Alsbury. Michael proudly served in the US Army from August 1967-1969 during the Vietnam War. Michael was a member of Crown Point Church and a former member of the Troup, Texas VFW.
He is survived by his children, Michael Alsbury of Farina, Richard Alsbury of Arp, TX, and Saraha Alsbury of Arp, TX; special friend, Janice Evans of Vandalia; seven sisters, LeNette, Paula, Patty, Barbara, June, Karryn, and Vicki; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; and sisters, Linda, Phyllis, and Nancy.
