One of the most hotly debated pieces of legislation during this election cycle in Illinois has been the SAFE-T act which is set to take effect on January 1st. Those for and against the legislation have been weighing in quite a bit, with the truth somewhat getting lost in the fog of politicals at times. State Senator Jason Plummer says that is why he is hosting a Town Hall to discuss the safety act. Senator Plummer says he believes people need to know the true information.
The town hall will be held on Wednesday at 6:30 pm at the Kaskaskia College-Vandalia Campus. Along with Senator Plummer, the speakers will be Fayette County State’s Attorney Joshua Morrison and Fayette County Sheriff David Russell. The public is encouraged to attend the event.
