Gloria J. Ledbetter, 88, of Vandalia, formerly of Brownstown, died at 6:15 p.m., on Monday, September 27, 2022 at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A private family funeral service will be held on October 8, 2022 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown. Visitation will be from 12 to 1 on October 8th. Burial will follow at Forbis Cemetery, rural Brownstown. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Gloria was born on Monday, January 15, 1934 in rural Vandalia, IL to Ralph T. and Gladys (Cearlock) Ledbetter. She was a member of the Parkview Free Methodist Church in Vandalia. She was employed at Illinois Bell and later AT&T as an operator and in accounts payable.
She is survived by; sisters, Judy (Maurice) Hoffmire, Brownstown and Patty (Leroy) Ellsworth, Vandalia; brothers, Larry (Thais) Ledbetter, Vandalia and Boyd (Norma) Ledbetter, Vandalia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Roger.
