St. Elmo-Brownstown had a strong weekend, going 3-0 and capturing the Championship title at the Webber Smackdown Volleyball Tournament. The Eagles opened up pool play with 25-12, 25-19 win over Mounds Meridian before beating Pope County 25-8, 25-17 to finish pool play at 2-0 and earn a spot in the title match. In the Championship, SEB made quick work of host Webber Township in two sets for a 25-18, 25-16 win. After the title game, SEB players Shelby Sasse, Morgan Hall and Laney Baldrige were named to the All-Tournament Team. SEB is now 12-8 on the season and will jump right back into action on Monday with an Egyptian Illini Conference match at home against Patoka.
