Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City captured 2nd place of the 2022 Egyptian Illini Conference Baseball Tournament with a 10-0 shutout of Ramsey on Thursday night. CHBC came into the evening at 1-1 and the win to move them to 2-1 along with the BSE win over Mulberry Grove would give the Bobcats the 2nd place spot in the round robin style tournament. CHBC would spread their offense out over all six innings, putting one run on the board in each of the first four innings and then adding another three runs in each of the final two innings while holding Ramsey scoreless for the 10-0 win. CHBC is now 3-11 on the season and will play at Christ Our Rock on Saturday at 10:00am. For Ramsey, the EIC Tournament wraps up their fall season.
