Meanwhile, the National Weather Service in St. Louis says a cold front arriving from the north is expected to trigger thunderstorms late Sunday afternoon and into the evening. These storms will have the potential to produce large hail and damaging winds. An isolated tornado is also possible. The storms will track to the east and southeast and weaken through the overnight.
