The Altamont Indians avenged one of their two losses on the season, beating Windsor/Stew-Stras 6-1 on Tuesday. The wins comes just a week and a half after Altamont lost the first meeting between the two teams 3-1. In Tuesday’s matchup, the Indians spread their 6 runs across several innings, being held scoreless in just one inning and holding WSS scoreless until the 6th inning in getting the 5-run win. Dillan Elam got the win on the mound, going all 7 innings and giving up just one run on 4 hits and one walk while striking out 6. Jared Hammer was 3-4 at the plate for the Indians with a run and an RBI while both Nathan Stuemke had two hits apiece with Stuemke also having 2 RBI and Robsinson scoring twice. The Indians are now 5-2 on the season and will host Mulberry Grove on Thursday.
