Andy D. Sims, 67, of Vandalia, IL, passed away at 2:13 PM, Thursday, August 04, 2022 at his home.

Andy DeWayne Sims was born on May 13, 1955 in Portageville, MO, the son of J.K. Sims and Wanda May (Barett) Campbell. Andy spent most of his life in Memphis, TN, where he grew up and was eventually a laborer; loading and unloading vessels such as barges on both the Mississippi and Ohio River. Andy had several hobbies throughout the years, but most recently he had an avid love for woodworking, refinishing furniture, photography, and having gatherings with his many friends.
Mr. Sims is survived by his son, Joseph Sims; sister, Lisa Moore; 3 grandchildren; and several extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
