Although in many cases the schedules have been set for years and are not a mystery at all, the IHSA’s annual summer release of the high school football schedules for all schools around the state always is a big day.
The high school football season starts on Friday, August 26th and runs each Friday through Week 9 on Friday, October 21st.

Some highlights—
The Vandals will get their first new look at new South Central Conference member North Mac in week 3 at Virden.
The Vandals will have back-to-back games on turf in weeks 2 and 3 at Carlinville and at North Mac
The Vandals will look to avenge their 2 regular season losses from last year, again in week 1 versus Pana and week 9 versus Greenville
