Kaskaskia College touched on several issues during their Community Engagement Meeting in Vandalia on Wednesday afternoon. Kaskaskia College President George Evans talks about their rebound since the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when they lost 10.5% of their enrollment at one time, but they have rebounded nicely since that point and should see an overall uptick in enrollment for the upcoming Fall 2022 semester. Evans also talked about modernizing the campus and that is something they are working at right now.
And, Evans also talks about the Art Gallery that is coming to the Vandalia campus.
Evans says he expects the K-C and Foundation Boards to both approve the Art Gallery this fall and hopefully they will begin construction in early spring. We will talk more with Evans on the Community Engagement Meeting coming up tomorrow.
