The IHSA has released all seeds and pairings for the 2022 Baseball postseason with regional action set to get underway on Monday, May 16.
In Class 1A, Mulberry Grove has earned a five-seed in the Greenville University Sectional and will compete in the Centralia Christ Our Rock Regional. The Aces will take on ninth seeded Okawville at 4:30pm in the Regional Quarterfinals with the winner advancing to take on 4th seeded Carlyle in the semifinals.
In the Class 1A Effing St. Anthony Sectional, South Central has earned a three seed and will be in the Dieterich Regional facing Bridgeport Red Hill in the second Regional semifinal game at 4pm on Thursday, May 19 with the winner advancing the Regional Championship.
The remaining I70Sports 1A teams will be in the Altamont Regional, also a part of the St. Anthony Sectional complex. CHBC is a six seed and Ramsey is a ten seed with the two teams squaring off in the regional quarterfinals at Beecher City on Monday, May 16 at 4:30pm. The winner will advance to take on two seed St. Anthony in the first semifinal game at Altamont. In the second semifinal game, fourth seeded Altamont will take on fifth seeded Brownstown-St. Elmo in the second semifinal game on Wednesday, May 18 at 6:30pm, also at Altamont.
In Class 2A, both Vandalia and Greenville will play in the Vandalia Regional as part of the Teutopolis Sectional. Greenville is the number 6 seed and will host eighth-seeded Vandalia in the regional quarterfinals on Monday, May 16 at 4:30pm with the winner advancing to the first regional semifinal game on Wednesday, May 18 at 4:00pm against top seeded Paris at Vandalia Mutual Field.
