An Indiana man was injured in an accident on Interstate 70 in Fayette county on Thursday morning. Illinois State Police reports say that a vehicle driven by 45 year old John Camplin of Indianapolis, Indiana was traveling west on I-70 near milepost 65 (2 miles east of Vandalia) in Fayette County. State Police say the drive lost control and struck a guardrail and rolled over into the right ditch. The roadway was snow covered at the time of the accident, which occurred at 7:42 on Thursday morning. Camplin was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with what the State Police say were non-life threatening injuries. State Police say that Camplin was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
