Preliminary Information on Monday’s I-70 Accident near Brownstown exit

The Illinois State Police says in the preliminary information on the accident that it occurred at 7:25 am on Monday morning on Interstate 70 eastbound near mile post 68 in Fayette County, which is the Brownstown exit.  State Police report says preliminary information indicates State Police District 12 responded to a 3 unit motor vehicle accident involving a truck-tractor/semi-trailer.  The report says that one person was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.  The report also adds that all lanes of Interstate 70 near mile post 68 were closed for the investigation and all lanes re-opened about 10 am Monday morning.  State Police adds there is no further information available at this time.
