(Chicago, IL) — A former Illinois Department of Natural Resources employee is facing official misconduct charges. Attorney General Kwame Raoul says the three charges against 46-year-old James Mayes stem from incidents where he sexually harassed a fellow employee and violated the State Employee Ethics Act. Mayes was a captain in the IDNR Office of Law Enforcement at the time of the allegations. Mayes faces two to five years in prison for each felony charge if convicted.
