Carol A. Dever, 76, of Fillmore, Illinois, formerly of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at her home in Fillmore, IL.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL, with Pastor Jeff Shouse officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Ramsey, IL. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL and 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Born September 18, 1944, in Cowden, IL, the daughter of Captain & Betty June (Williams) Leigh. Married Ronald Edward Dever on October 30, 1965, he passed away in 2000. She was a former waitress and manager at Betty Leigh’s Cafe, Ramsey, IL and also a waitress at the Chuckwagon Cafe in Vandalia, IL; and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ramsey, IL.
Survived by: Daughters – Carol Roberts & Delbert, Ramsey, IL and Tammy Trost & Geoff, Hillsboro, IL; Brothers – Tom Leigh and Ronnie Leigh & Kay, all of Ramsey, IL; Sisters – Betty Moreland, Sandra Cook, Connie Warburton and Barbara Smith, all of Ramsey, IL, Susie Miller, Vandalia, IL, Dana Baker, Cowden, IL, and Diane Miller & Meredith, Blue Mound, IL; Grandchildren – Michael Roberts & Chastity, Mathew Roberts & Asheli and Kayla Trost; and Great Grandchildren – Archer, Quade, Charlotte and Mila.
