Larry Kent Dunaway, 68, of Vandalia, passed away on February 12, 2021 at his home in Vandalia.
A private funeral service will be held with Rev. Robert Weaver officiating and burial to follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice, Mattoon. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com
Larry Kent Dunaway was born December 15, 1952, in Vandalia, the son of Larry Edward Dunaway and Jo Ann (Kistler) Corry. He married Kim Walton on July 12, 1980, together they shared 40 years of marriage. Kent was a hard worker; having just retired from many years as a truck driver. After retiring, Kent spent his free time helping with his grandchildren, they were some of the most important people in his life.
He is survived by his mother, Jo Ann Corry; wife Kim Dunaway; sons, Chad Dunaway and wife Sue and Kenny Dunaway and wife Denessa; daughter, Karlee Kruenegel all of Vandalia; brother, Brad Dunaway; sister, Lisa Ann Corry; grandchildren, Shelbee Dunaway, Blake Petrea, Amanda Jerden, Connor Klitzing, Arian Dunaway, Ryder Dunaway, Grace Kruenegel, Anna Dunaway, and Aubree Dunaway; great granddaughter, Jorjah Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Scott Dunaway; and sister, Jessica Dunaway.
