
Donald M. Denton, 96, of Vandalia, Illinois, formerly of Ramsey, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Fayette County Hospital, LTC, Vandalia, IL.

Born September 25, 1924, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Samuel Dewey & Mary Faye (Calvert) Denton. Married Velma Berniece Hill on August 14, 1946, Vandalia, IL, she passed away July 13, 2018. He worked as a mechanic at Cothern’s Implement, Ramsey, IL and worked at Essex Wire, Pana, IL; and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Ramsey, IL.
Survived by: Sons – Michael Denton & Christine, Pana, IL, Mark Denton, Ramsey, IL, and Merle Denton & Amy, Brownstown, IL; Daughter – Connie Meyer & Rich, St. Charles, MO; 12 Grandchildren; 39 Great Grandchildren; and 6 Great Great Grandchild.
Preceded in death by: His Parents; Wife; Brothers – Will Denton and Cleo Calvert; Sister – Mary Louise Prater; and 2 Great grandchildren – Payge & Anthony.
