A Florissant, Missouri man is facing multiple felony charges following a traffic stop in Fayette County earlier this week.
Fayette County Sheriff Chris Smith says that 28 year old Tion I. Blair of Florissant, Missouri was stopped by the Interstate Detail Deputy for allegedly speeding in a construction zone. Sheriff Smith says the plate came back as stolen and Sheriff Smith added it was an overdue rental vehicle. Sheriff Smith says that after Blair was taken into custody an AR 15 rifle, a Glock 19 and 955 rounds of ammo were found. And, Sheriff Smith added that Blair is a convicted felon.
Blair was officially charged today in Fayette County Court. Blair is facing a charge of Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, which is a Class 1 Felony, and 2 counts of Armed Violence, which is a Class X Felony. Public Defender William Starnes was appointed as his attorney today and his bond was set at $40,000. Blair is scheduled for a Preliminary Hearing in the matter on November 2nd at 11 am.
