​State public health officials urge families getting together for Labor Day to still follow COVID mitigation recommendations

State Public Health Officials urge caution over the Labor Day weekend, even if you’re just getting together with family.  It may be easy to let your guard down around family, but Illinois Public Health Assistant Director Amaal Tokars says you still need to socially distance, wash hands frequently and wear a mask when possible.

Officials say that outbreaks have occurred when extended family that hasn’t seen each other in a while get together.
