A Vandalia home suffered major damage in a Monday afternoon fire. The fire was at 114 South 2nd Street and is owned by Jason Nowlan. Vandalia Fire Chief Mark Meadows says that, upon arrival, they discovered a heavy fire in the front of the home and that the home suffered major damage in the blaze. Chief Meadows says that 14 fire fighters were on the scene of the fire for about 3 hours.
