Prior to the end of Monday night’s City Council meeting, Mayor Rick Gottman informed the city council that he had spoken to the owners of the Capitol View Restaurant that was destroyed by fire last month. Gottman said the owners are working to get the site cleaned up quickly.
When asked by Alderman B. John Clark if the restaurant would be reopened, Gottman stated that he was not 100% sure.
