Donna Hannagan, 74, of St. Elmo, died at 12:03 a.m., Sunday, April 29, 2018 at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Elmo with Rev. Michael Rosa officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Freedom Reigns in Christ Church, St. Elmo. Memorials may be made to the Aperion Care Activity Fund or the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Donna L. Osterbur was born on Thursday, February 24, 1944 in Urbana, IL to Alvin H. and Erna M. (Hulls) Osterbur. She married Gary F. Hannagan on June 4, 1966, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Penfield, IL. She was the regional vice president of Heritage Health, Bloomington, IL and also assisted in the operation of the family business, Hannagan Auction Company.
She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Gary Hannagan, St. Elmo; son, Sean (Jill) Hannagan, St. Elmo; daughter, Jennifer Hannagan, Effingham; brothers, Kenneth Osterbur, and Stanley (April) Osterbur, both of Royal; 4 grandchildren, Patrick, Ryan, Erin, and Collin Hannagan.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, John Alvin Hannagan and sister-in-law, Nancy Osterbur.
