Although there were no storm warnings issued for Fayette County, there was certainly plenty of damage in the southern half of the county. Fayette County Sheriff Chris Smith says there are power lines down in the southern half of the county and multiple houses and sheds with damage. The storm made it’s way thru Fayette County, but the damaging parts of the storm looked to have been centered in the southern half of the county. The photograph, submitted by Sheriff Smith, is of the house of Gene and Ann Schwarm along Route 185 in the Loogootee area—which suffered significant damage in this afternoon’s storm.
