The Fayette County Board took time during its meeting Tuesday night to honor Bruce Bowen. Bowen served as the county’s coroner for several terms before resigning last month due to his non-inclusion in the budget process for the office that was completed by a consulting service hired by the county. County Board Chairman Jeff Beckman presented Bowen with a plaque to honor his time working for the county.
Also at the meeting, Bowen took time to honor three deputy coroners who had worked with him during his time as coroner. Bowen presented Rick Gottman, Mark Miller II and Mike Black with plaques to thank and honor them for their service.
