An effort put together by VCHS students, with the help of one parent, led to over $1100 being raised at Friday night’s football game to help a Roxana High School student in his battle with cancer. The effort was spearheaded this week by VCHS Junior and Cheerleader Cori Hipsher, with assistance from VCHS football Mom Shannon Sidwell, to raise money at Friday night’s Vandals/Roxana football game for Roxana High School Senior and Football player Allen Wright, who is battling cancer. The effort led to $1117.85 being raised during the game, with all of the proceeds going to Allen, to help he and his family with the costs associated with battling cancer.
